What`s a climate camp?

Climate camps are at the heart of the climate justice movement. They are
a place for networking and education of different political and social
groups working for ecological sustainability and social justice. They
are also a place to live alternatives to the current capitalist society
and dying democracy, and a place where direct action and civil
disobedience can lend weight to our protest. The goal of the climate
justice movement is a good life for all within planetary boundaries. In
order to achieve this, we are striving for a radical change of system.

Climate camps are built on 4 pillars:

Education
Networking
Living utopias
Direct action

Why “Klimacamp Leipziger Land 3.1”

We were fully in the planning for the 3rd Klimacamp Leipziger Land when
Corona interrupted us. We still wanted to continue working during Corona
we decided to move this year’s Klimacamp Leipziger Land online and since
everything viral seems to hage version numbers with dots in between, we
decided to name it Klimacamp Leipziger Land 3.1.

We continue to orientate ourselves on the basic ideas of Klimacamps and
want to offer not only interactive workshops but also get in together,
discuss and empower ourselves.
